Samantha Payne, an artist based in New Zealand, channels her love for color and fascination with capturing expressions into vibrant artworks. Samantha started painting to escape the routine of everyday life and explore her passion for colour. She wanted to make the viewers smile and relate through a kaleidoscope of hues and emotions and shares her journey through workshops for kids and Sip & Paint events for adults. In 2020 Samantha opened her first art café with her husband to bring the local community a dopamine environment of great coffee, food, events and art. Called ‘The Stoned Cow’, their café is now based in the beautiful, arty town of Raglan. The name came from one of Samantha’s paintings and captures the couples sense of humour and quirkiness perfectly. Working primarily from the café to provide live art sessions, Samantha works primarily with a mixture of acrylic and oil. She prefers to paint large scale paintings and murals and provides a number of print size options. Her creations can be viewed in person at the café gallery or purchased online and delivered across the globe.
